CONCRETE DREAMS

Together with Meg, we enter the space and time of a grey abandoned paint factory on the outskirts of industrial Hong Kong to spend a day off. Our friend has brought along a backpack of wonders that is stuffed with daily and not-so-daily supplies to satisfy all her potential needs. Having left behind the real and constructed limitations of the busy urban landscape, Meg starts to explore her belongings and her being through the cement playground. She experiences anew what it means to eat, sleep, play, move, learn, share, and provide.

All pictures were taken with a process-oriented approach on one foggy fall day. The produced images are the result of both a previously constructed formal framework and impulsive ideas and urges on set. Based on the prompt “in the beginning”.
